Thermal desorption instrument is a multi-functional pre-concentration technology combined with gas chromatography (GC and GC-MS), which is used to analyze volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs) in a variety of samples. By extracting volatile organic compounds from the sample and concentrating them into a very small volume of carrier gas, thermal desorption greatly enhances the sensitivity of trace target compounds, helps reduce interference, and achieves routine detection of analytes at ppb or lower concentrations.
