Regardless of whether the gas generator is a split or combined generator, the exhaust gas needs to be dried and purified, dehumidified, and hydrocarbon removal. The existing hydrocarbon removal method basically adopts adsorption method, and the adsorbent is mainly color-changing silica gel, molecular sieve and activated carbon. Due to the use of color-changing silica gel to dehumidify, the degree of discoloration of silica gel should be observed frequently, and transparent plexiglass or carbonate should be used, because the color of silica gel cannot be observed at any time, so it cannot be well applied.
Filter installation method
1. Vertical installation: the inlet and outlet of the purification pipe are both at the bottom of the base, with the opening facing upward. The gas sent from the electrolyzer or compressor first enters the top of the desiccant through the liner core tube from the air inlet in the middle of the end cover, then filters through the adsorbent, and then returns to the air outlet around the end cover from the bottom. The use of stainless steel material dryer, generally in the stainless steel tube with a layer of plexiglass lining.
2. Hoist type: the air inlet and outlet of the purification pipe are distributed above the head, and the air outlet is downward. The gas from the electrolyzer or compressor first enters the bottom of the desiccant through the inner core tube from the air inlet in the middle of the end cover, and then returns to the air outlet near the end cover from the top to the end cover after being filtered again with adsorbent to ensure that the gas is effectively filtered before being output.
Due to the limitation of working principle, in the nitrogen generator, the air humidity in the electrolytic cell of the hydrogen generator is very high. When the gas passes through the electrolytic cell, the gas will more or less condense into water droplets. The machine is installed vertically. When the filter element is replaced, the liquid droplets will drop into the outlet of the dryer due to gravity and enter the chromatographic tube, causing system pollution. Such an upgrade would essentially avoid the above problems. I plant the existing drying equipment are lifting equipment.
In order to reduce the humidity of the gas output from the electrolytic separation cell, some manufacturers add a steam-water separator between the electrolytic cell and the pure tube. Since the diaphragm filter material is mainly sintered into powder metal materials, the dry gas is discharged from alkaline gas during the electrolysis process, causing alkali corrosion or even blockage to the filter plate in the separator, thus affecting the normal use of the gas generator.
