Gas chromatograph is widely used in various experimental production fields, and there are certain requirements for gas source, such as purification, filtration and so on. The gas source is to purify possible water, ash and organic components after purifying various gases, and to carry out strict purification treatment before the gas enters the gas chromatograph. If it is a full cylinder gas, some gas chromatographs are equipped with purifiers and filled with 5A molecular sieve, activated carbon and silica gel, which can basically meet the requirements. If an ordinary hydrogen generator is used, the purification of hydrogen must be strengthened. Therefore, the area of the drying tube should be increased, and then the gas chromatograph generator should be connected to reduce or overcome the impact of gas source pressure fluctuations on the instrument reference. When using an air compressor as the wind source, the air filtration should be strengthened, the volume of the purifier should be increased, and half of the 5A molecular sieve and activated carbon should be added to the drying tube. Ordinary domestic oil-free gas compressor can meet the requirements.

Whether it is configured with a split generator or a combined generator, the output gas needs to be dried and purified, that is, dehumidified to remove hydrocarbons (oil). At present, the commonly used hydrocarbon removal method is basically adsorbent, and the adsorbent is basically color-changing silica gel, molecular sieve and activated carbon. Due to the use of color-changing silica gel for dehumidification, it is necessary to frequently observe the degree of discoloration of the silica gel, which is made of transparent plexiglass or carbonate, because the stainless steel tube is not suitable for observing the color of silica gel at any time.

The inlet and outlet of the purifier are at the bottom of the machine, with the opening upward. The gas coming from the electrolyzer or compressor first enters the top of the desiccant from the gas inlet in the middle of the end cover through the lined pipe, and then is filtered through the adsorbent from the bottom to the outlet around the end cover.
