    FUSION pCAT-2000 is a catalytic methane/non-methane total hydrocarbon portable or wall-mounted multi-purpose analyzer. It adopts full-process heating, no cold point high-temperature circulation technology, is equipped with high-temperature and high-efficiency catalytic devices, and uses dual FID detectors to simultaneously detect total hydrocarbons and methane in sample gas. It can simultaneously display and calculate the concentration values of total hydrocarbons, methane and non-methane total hydrocarbons in real time.

    Principle

    Non-methane total hydrocarbon detectorSelective oxidation of hydrocarbons (I. e. catalytic oxidation) is a reaction in which hydrogen atoms are extracted and one or more oxygen atoms are added, resulting in the formation of several products with different C/H and C/O ratios. Under different temperature conditions, the oxidation reaction can be divided into selective oxidation and complete oxidation reaction. The catalytic oxidation method can completely oxidize various organic molecules on the surface of the transition metal to carbon dioxide and water or selectively oxidize.

    Hydrocarbon organic detection using FID detector (I. e. hydrogen flame ionization detector), is a typical destructive, mass type detector. The FID detector uses the flame generated by the combustion of hydrogen and air as the energy source. When the hydrocarbon organic compound enters the flame, it will generate chemical ionization at high temperature, and the ionization will generate an ion flow several orders of magnitude higher than the base flow. Under the directional action of the high-voltage electric field, These positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons move to the negative electrode and the positive electrode respectively to form an ion flow, which becomes an electrical signal proportional to the amount of the amount of the incoming hydrocarbon, therefore, the quantitative analysis of hydrocarbon organic compounds can be carried out according to the size of the signal.

     

    Features

    1. The instrument is highly integrated and scalable, and can be configured with total hydrocarbon analyzer and methane/non-methane total hydrocarbon analyzer according to requirements;
    2. The whole process of high temperature heating, including the system sample gas pipeline and gas path control components, is in the environment of high temperature 190 degrees, and there is no cold spot in the analysis process;
    3. Non-methane hydrocarbons in the new catalyst, will not produce other unknown components, catalytic capacity reached 95%;
    4. The dual FID detector flow path design is adopted to simultaneously detect the total hydrocarbon and methane concentration values in parallel to ensure the accuracy, real-time and synchronization of the analysis;
